We’ve been active in this name lately—profitable on the quick 4/8–4/10 swing but also took a couple of small losses in March. Price has stalled out after the big February run to $170 and the subsequent March selloff to the low $150s. The last four daily bars show a mild drift lower on declining volume, with no convincing breakout or reversal candle on the daily chart.

Earnings are due pre-market tomorrow with consensus calling for $1.55 EPS and about $18.9B in revenue. History shows PEP usually reacts positively to beats, but the implied move is around 4%, and guidance or commentary on volumes, input costs, or GLP-1 impact could easily swing it either way. With the stock essentially flat for the past two weeks and no strong momentum in either direction, there’s no edge worth risking real capital for a minimum 7-day hold.

Longer-term the story remains intact—solid dividend growth, international exposure, innovation in snacks and functional beverages, and analyst targets mostly clustered in the $170 area. But right now the chart is range-bound and we’re sitting right in the middle of it with earnings 24 hours away. Better to stay on the sidelines, let the print and reaction play out, then reassess for a higher-conviction setup. No need to chase back in immediately after our recent exit; patience here protects the account until the path of least resistance becomes clearer.
